It's next Wednesday and I know I won't have a date or anything going on. Last year V-Day I went to a speeddating event which was such a bust. What's the point of the holiday? Seeing couples on a regular day depresses me. I'm almost 26 and haven't had a real boyfriend, but I've been on dates with a lot of losers. The guys I like never seem to like me back...while the old men, nerds, and ghetto men on the street are the only ones paying me attention with their "shawty, can I talk to you?" mess. I'm sure if John Taylor had a doppleganger my age he wouldn't give me the time of day.  Why I can't get a date with a nice and normal guy is beyond me.  |

I can totally relate, so don't feel like you're alone! Every serious boyfriend I've had since I was 16 has cheated on me. I've pretty much given up on finding a genuinely nice, normal man. I'm just too tired of all the malarkey to care anymore. And I'd rather be alone than date the old men, nerds, and ghetto men that also hit on me, but I'm noticing as I get older, even they don't pay attention to me much anymore. As for V-day, I just avoid all the hoopla as much as possible and it goes away rather quickly. |

I'll be manless too. When I was married we never did any thing special for it. To me I didnt need a special day to say I love you.

Yeah its just a day. Im going to wear red ,maybe my ultra dork be mine socks , Its only a day I like showing all year round .

I will be traveling to Tampa to host a meeting the following morning. Even if I weren't, I would still be wearing my traditional V-day black... Although I do handout cards to my co-workers -- because that's just what I do. I like everyone to enjoy the day -- even if I don't myself. Besides, it raises Braille Literacy awareness -- I only give out braille valentines.
