I just read this from Entertainment Weekly. I can't wait for tonight's show. The linked article mentions an anagram that'll go towards explaining "Adam & Eve", the decomposed couple found in the cave and I've also read that there'll be a brainwashing scene that'll need to be viewed frame by frame so I'll be taping tonight to make sure I don't miss anything.
I've always believed that despite how much it seems that TPTB are making it up as they go along that there really is a resolution in mind. The way actors play scenes that don't seem important until episodes (or even seasons) down the line has told me that the directors and writers know what's to come at all times. Facial expressions of grief or remorse long before we find that, for example, Jin is sterile or Kate was married to a cop, could only have been written and directed if the later reveal was known to the creators.
In spite of the fact that I spent the mid season break watching the complete first two seasons I'll still be watching the hourlong recap that's on tonight before the new episode. I only regret that I didn't give myself enough time to watch the episodes from this season on abc.com.
