This is an intresting topic lol I will play .... lets have a bit of a fashion show shall we? ;D
Over the years Nick has sported many different looks. And he has worn some very…“interesting” outfits. John even said of Nick that nothing he did surprised him anymore. While it has been reported that the guys used to throw Simon’s hideous clothes out of hotel windows I rather think some of Nick’s clothes should have “disappeared” as well. I am not saying the following examples are all bad, some of these I quite like, but it just shows Nick’s variety in taste over the years.
So, lets have a look at some of the out landish outfits worn by The Divine One.
First we have the New Romantic or Futurist (as he preferred it called) look. Can you possibly fit one more ruffle on these shirts? The hair….I wont even go there.
Now lets take a look at the Clown period.
Clown shirts:
And a complete Clown ensemble:
Next, The cowboy look:
Pretty in Pink:
Old west meets Rock-n-Roll:
Speaking of Pretty in Pink lets us not forget Nick’s Wedding Day. Was he not handsome is that pink silk tux, complete with top hat?
Next we have Nick’s Priestly look. Is this where the term “The Divine One” came from? I think not. Move over Father Guido Valduchi make way for Father Rhodes.
Here is Nick sporting mesh. This shirt, made from delightfully see through material, is accented by the bright yellow trousers.
And here Nick is showing some skin, midriff tops are not only for the ladies. My goodness, I thought my tummy was pale.
Check out this next beauty. I swear my Mom had a shirt just like this.
And we can not forget the feather Boa:
Nick has been know to wear many hats as the saying goes; musician, artist, photographer, producer, etc. But in his case we can also take this saying quite literally…
This one makes me think he is about to go for a horsey ride hehehehe.
And his Fur phase…shame on you Nick, I like to think it is faux fur. I ask you who else could pull off wearing a fur coat with a t-shirt?
Not sure what to call this look, but he reminds me of Bret Micheals of Poison for some reason...
Last, but certainly not least, Nick is looking stylish in Blue Jeans. Now what is out of the ordinary about a pair of blue jeans you ask? While they are normal for most of us they a rare sight in the Nick Rhodes wardrobe and so worthy of their place here in clothing history.
That concludes my fashion show of sorts. I hope you enjoyed this little slice of Nick Rhodes clothing history. And while I made a few jokes here and there, let it be known it was all in good fun. I am not laughing at you Nick, I am laughing with you. I love you man
