I have, they're not better than those for dd. I'm glad about. Pharrel's are far better! They should have worked with him instead! I hope the Mark Ronson project is interesting, brings us f___ing good songs and success. I just hope he's not another Mark ? case.

yes unfortunately I have heard Madonna's new album- it's shit
2 great tracks- Voices & Devil Wouldn't Recognise You
2 ok tracks- Miles Away and Give it 2 Me
the rest is un-listenable to- musically Duran's stuff with the Tims is vastly superior
I don't know who produced what on this air borne toxic event Madonna calls Hard Candy- Pharrell should be hung by the balls for what his ham fisted production has done to this album

Haven't listened to the songs (in fact I won't), but I think he should just leave 80's acts alone! I really can't wait to hear the results of the Ronson!

Most of it struck me as a little "eh...." too. I actually thought the Tims work was the strongest on that album, but that's just my opinion. Miles Away sounded alright in particular.

Anyone know what her fans are saying about it?

Her fans love it and so does the casual pesron. People on this board can say what they like but the numbers don't lie. Have a quick look at 4 minutes chart positions globally. It is a monster, as the album will be. Madge knows how to sell the collaboration and remain relelvant to a new generation, Hard Candy will sell millions and Madonna will live to fight another day, unfortunately the same can't be said of Duran Duran.
Again, hopefully Duran Duran will actually release a Timbaland track as a proper single and have a great music video to all least milk something from the collaborations that paid alot of money for. I am starting to doubt this a bit now though.
Me thinks it is a bit of sour grapes and elitism from the fans on here. I love both artists but 4 Minutes will help Hard Candy be a massive and current success and keep her relevant, whereas Falling Down did not really do RCM any favors.

I don't think anyone is disputing the fact that Hard Candy will sell better than RCM. That doesn't mean we have to like it.

I like RCM a lot, however I don't care for what I'm hearing off Hard Candy, simple as that, not sour grapes. Unlike some people, I could careless about album sales. Big numbers do not automatically equal quality. All you have to do is look at the charts these days to realize that.
I'm not surprised in the slightest to hear Madonna is outselling Duran. However, it doesn't mean I'm going to roll over for her album.

I'm not surprised in the slightest to hear Madonna is outselling Duran. However, it doesn't mean I'm going to roll over for her album. Couldn't have said it better myself... I think Madonna is a better candidate for using these "urban super-producers", being that she is still relevant and all. Now I could careless for big album sales, not to say it wouldn't be nice, but its not a totally realistic expectation for Duran Duran. Thats why I would like to have Reportage out and a more indie approach from the band (I think I'm sounding more and more like Andy...). I really want to hear the results of the Skin Divers remix with Alex and Matt, cause I love the Arctic Monkeys. Also I don't think the name "TIMBALAND" is gonna have as big effect anymore, especially for Duran Duran. He's oversaturated in the music world. (Ok Ok off the soapbox...)
