Never once did anyone mention that Andy too, was excited about working with Timbaland. Actually, Simon *has* stated that Andy was excited to work with Timbaland, one of the reasons they were puzzled when he didn't show up. I can't agree with this, either - John, Nick and Simon have all said they're open to the idea of working with Andy again, and Simon has said he's still friends with Andy and always will be. Not exactly what they'd be saying if they couldn't stand Andy, I don't think... Lol - so which version of events do you believe by Simon/Nick/John/Roger? Lol. They were talking shit about Andy big time in radio interviews leading up to RCM. It struck me at the time as unprofessional. As far as Andy being excited to work with Timbaland - that's what Simon says, doesn't mean it's true though (if you believe that, then Andy was excited to work with Timbaland and just didn't show up? - thats the answer? doesn't make sense folks). Simon also sat beside Warren in interviews and said he knew nothing about the rumors of the original 5 piece reuniting when that was all well underway behind Warren's back. Just as ReflexOz pointed out - there's a lot more to all of this. Don't assume just because the band says something that they're telling the truth. If they forced Andy out - then they're probably paying for it legally right now. By the same token, I'm not 100% that Andy wasn't at fault either....we just don't yet. Based on what we do know, I'm more prone to believe that he didn't quit - and it's already obvious that the band haven't been truthful about his departure.

OK, if we assume: - it only takes 24 hours to get a work visa The USA is the most impossible country in the world to get a work visa for - particularly if you are in the UK. Current wait times in London for initial interview for a US Visa - Visitors Visas: 38 Days All Other Nonimmigrant Visas: 15 Days And I'm not even sure which Visa would cover this. You can use a P-1 Visa when you're performing, but only when you're performing - it doesn't cover you for work outside of the actual gigs. As there were no gigs planned, a P-1 Visa would be null and void... I didn't have a visa the last time I worked in Philadelphia - I had to pretend I was there for a one-off meeting, and then act like it was a leisure trip for the rest of the month (whilst getting into the office every day at 10am)... in this case it wasn't my management letting me down though, it was a sudden business need to have me there which didn't allow enough time to get a work visa sorted. So, like all good multi-billion dollar corporations, they got me to break the rules for them by making it very worth my while...

kelguraComing from the same neck of the woods, I am a big fan of Andys. I also hate the hypocrasy of some of the DD fans (not all as some are decent people). Before Andy left people like you couldn't brown nose him enough and now he's left, he's now the anti-christ. Just because I have lost respect for DD as people does not mean I do not like their music, can you understand that? I like their music and am a fan of it but I feel they are not perfect or nice men...

Speedbunny - what kinda connections do you have with Andy? Any inside info on the real story? I'm hoping Andy's book fills in some of the blanks about the internal workings of the band (if he decides to go that route). You ever watch Lost? My connection to Andy is kinda like Ben's connection to Jacob. Actually, probably more like Hurley's connection to Jacob. Hmmmm.... POPCORN ANYONE?!

I've never watched Lost though, so I'll have to try and figure it out (I'll ask some folks at work). I kinda boycott new tv shows these days because without fail, everytime I like a new show - it ends up being cancelled within a few months.

Some people will grab at ANY information and run with it as the truth. No one knows what happened, nor will we!! Accept it and move on! Please!

I just meant to say that if you weren't there to witness the fall-out you won't know what happened. If you want to piece together all of the bits of story that we're getting and see if it all makes one WHOLE story, you're welcome to try.
