Firstly, give me an hour to put them up on the site. When I do, you will find them at www.electricbarbarella.homeschooljournal.net . IMAGES ARE NOW UP...
Second, this was my first time seeing them. Been a fan since the beginning, but never got to see them until now and I have to say, I am glad I waited. The crowd was much more enjoyable, as was the concert, now that we are a bit "older".
In any case, I don't remember the set list, but they played all the good stuff and really jammed out on the new stuff. Simon was spot on with the lyrics, not messing up once. He did have trouble hitting the high notes, but that was it. The stage was smaller than they are used to playing, so movement was a tad bit restricted, but they still moved. Sadly, where I was sitting afforded me zero view of Roger due to the many wires they had. The only thing Simon kept doing was crabbing his crotch and at one point, adjust himself.
All the boys, including Dom, where in it. In the "game". During the electro-set, Nick and John had a bit of a "keyboard war" going on and the exchange between them was hillarious. Roger did look a bit tired, but that's to be understood. The UCF arena isn't that big, but what seats were sold, were filled. There were only a few very upper level seats empty. The crowd was spot on with our participation, never missing a beat with it. The music was loud, sound, and rocking. This isn't a good review because it was my first time either. They really did rock the house last night.
I only have two complaints and neither could be helped by the boys. One, standing on your tiptoes during the show, 3/4 of the time, makes for one very tired person. Two, this isn't Anna's fault as the stage was smaller than usual, but because of my seat, I really couldn't get John unless I got her. She was all up in his space the whole time. I had a shot that was OMG of John, but when I checked it, I had snapped her in his face at the last minute (grrr).
In any case, give me an hour or so to get them up. The concert was a blast and anyone who says negatively about it, was smoking crack. There was not a single negative thing. Even the opening band, Your Vegas, was good. Not great, but they were entertaining and not half bad. You could tell they knew they had the opportunity of a lifetime, touring with the band. They appreciated, truly appreciated, being there.
All in all, I am so glad I finally got to go. And Mark and C are awesome people.
