From 1985-1989, I lived in Nashville....I knew Power Station had a concert. But I worked night shift at a restaurant with no way of getting off work [couldn't afford it anyways]. From Feb 1990 to June 1999 I worked nearly 10-15 hours a day for 10 years at a Veneer company So, I never saw John. With Power Station or solo. I did hear PS on the radio all the time. Robert Palmer too [I just heard "Simply Irresistible" on "So You Think You Can Dance"-anyone else hear it?
Now, I listen to all my solo CD's of John's I have. Will *never* hope to make up that I was driving on the same interstate that he said he *LOVED* seeing the scenery from whatever transportation he had *that time* [I-71 KY-then he went on into Ohio-I've spent tonz of family, friends, travel-time........I-71 is a beautiful roadtrip Just gotta watch out for the dang crazy deer ;D LOL !!!!!!!!!!!
"This Is The Moment"-another *ramble finally ends* ;D

I couldn't resist commenting on this when I read it. I went to the Orlando HOB Terroristen show, started up a chat with the 2 women in line in front of me and hung out with them for the evening. Thing was, they were Sixpence None The Richer fans, and were there for them, and this was before they released that one song of theirs that actually was a hit, so I had no clue who they were. Anyway, the 2 women asked me - who's John Taylor? I had to literally bite my tongue from being appalled that they wouldn't know who John Taylor was, I mean, come on people....... It was a fantastic show, to be literally 3 feet from John like that, and I was so into it I was totally thrown for a loop when I turned around halfway through the show and saw how there was maybe 150 people there. The only other shows I'd ever seen in the HOB were Duran shows at that point, and we were always jammed in there like sardines, so I was shocked at how few people there were.

Nobel - it was October 22nd at Alvin's. I was there, too!
During the day, Alvin's was a delicatessen. TINY place, hole in the wall would be a step up. We stood back near the meat counters talking with Patty and Barb (she was helping with the merchandise). John showed up in these tuxedo pants, and if you're familiar with that style, they have these little buckles on either side you can use to adjust them so they fit perfectly. Well, my best friend worked in tuxedos at the time, and she was appalled. The pants were WAY too tight, and not in a good way. The buckles were straining, mkay? And they were flood short. So Susan points this out to the girls, to which they reply "But they're Vivienne Westwood". To which Susan replies "They still don't fit."
We didn't get backstage at that show. Wonder why? *wink*
All in all, I went to 9 of the shows on that tour. About the only one I DIDN'T go to was Florida, and as usual, my gal thepoetsfire had amazing stalking mojo. I still gotta get down there for a gig with you, girlfriend!

The ill-fitting tuxedo pants made more than one appearance, so that's not quite enough to sort it. Jaxx was the venue in Springfield, VA on Halloween. So look for the band in silly accessories like clown wigs, vampire fangs, etc...). John wore the pale blue shirt with a thin pair of ruffles down the front and the cats-eye contact lenses, so that gig should be pretty distinctive. Of course, he wore that shirt at several other shows, too, so I'd have to dig out my negatives and actually sort pictures by date again to be 100% sure about pants/shoes and other more subtle venue cues Tina
