I haven't seen the electro set myself yet and am looking forward to it a lot. Clearly I've lately been neglecting my interest in electronic music and I haven't read reviews like this, this, this, and this, or interviews like this and this because only today (when I studied my new Kraftwerk live album) it struck me the electro set is a direct tribute to -- or imitation of, but I assume the former -- Kraftwerk's live performances. Obviously the reviewers picked it up and the guys haven't exactly been hiding their inspiration in interviews. Take a look at these: (You'll find plenty more images like these if you image-search for 'Kraftwerk live') ETA: A little more searching informed me they're even performing a Kraftwerk cover and the band have been using their music already during the previous tour. YouTube clip here. From en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kraftwerk: "While touring after the release of Astronaut in 2005, Duran Duran would signify its arrival on stage by playing The Robots. This track appeared on the album Nick Rhodes and John Taylor present Only After Dark (2006). When Duran Duran played Broadway in November 2007, and the Lyceum in London in December 2007, it performed "Showroom Dummies" as part of its Electro-set. Each band member used electronic instruments—Nick and John used a Korg Radias and Simon used a microKorg."

Kraftwerk played over the speakers before the show, the band didn't actually perform any of it themselves, if that's what they're saying. It doesn't read very clearly.

Showroom Dummies is a Kraftwerk song. T7 - The electro set is definitely an homage to Kraftwerk. Have you listened to the boots of the electro set? I'm betting you will absolutely love it when you see it. What show(s) are you attending?

They still perform, don't they? At least in 2005 they did. The live album I've got (Minumum-Maximum) was recorded then. The eldest members are already in their 60s, aren't they? Next to them, Duran Duran are freshmen ;D
