Japan influenced Duran Duran for sure in the begining. But I dont see how they also influenced the electro set ... even from those videos. ... There not playing the same type of electro music. Sorry. LoL hehe ~ "Wolf"

I love Japan I don't think they influenced the electroset, but they were definately a huge influence on DD in their new romantic days. i don't think they actually infuenced that part of the DD show... but i was watching the Oil On Canvas DVD the other day and the track CANTON (it's on the clips I posted) reminded me of the Electro set - with the band on synths (incl Sylvian) -- also the Ghost clip has the bass player Mick Karn on synths (like JT is) and the drummer scaling down to a purcussion set rather than a full drum-kit

I never read in any interview where DD said they were inspired by Japan. I read David Bowie, Roxy Music....etc. never Japan.
