I'm not stuck at all - I voted 'disappointed'. If the hope was that this remix would get people excited about RCM, I don't think that's going to happen. There's hardly any of the original song left in the remix, and all of the elements seem to randomly appear and disappear. The only thing constant is the beat. It's OK for clubs, where people don't care WHAT they're dancing to, but it's a shapeless mess for anything else. Most kids playing with Garage Band on their iMacs could do just as well, and for a lot less money...
Y'know, between Helder, Justin Timberlake and Timbaland getting $$$ to put their fingerprints on RCM, it seems the only people NOT making money on this venture is Duran Duran. And Sony, of course...

I picked water running. Water running is soothing and consistent. This should be called the ADHD Remix.

That thing sucked in ways nothing has ever sucked before. Someone needs to tell this idiot that a remix actually USES the lyrics/vocals and parts of the original song! Like Carina I prefer water running to this turd.

The thing that baffles me is...Duran Duran are musicians. How did they approve this? Did they really listen to it and think, "Wow, this is wonderful music, it adds so much to the original version, please release it"? Are they really so out of touch with what makes music happen that they thought putting out a random collection of sounds and backbeats was a good way to publicize RCM? Or do they care so little about RCM that they honestly had no opinion of this - a "Eh, whatever, don't interrupt us while we're partying at fancy Italian weddings" attitude? They really wanted RCM to succeed; how could this not matter to them?
And why does it not bother them that they keep collaborating with hot artists who, in turn, act like they couldn't possibly care less about what they're putting together? It's like these people are thinking, "Wow, if Duran Duran is stupid enough to give me boatloads of cash without caring what I produce, I'm smart enough to take it. What a deal! I'll take the money, goof around until I get bored, and take that cash to the bank. What do I care how it turns out? I got paid. Woo hoo!!"
I mean, this is really aggravating. This is the second time (third if you count Timberlake, who might have honestly thought 'Falling Down' was the new 'Ordinary World'. That one might be Simon's fault for listening to him) DD has given money and their name to a "hot" artist, and that artist has given them crap in return. Don't you think they should be kind of angry about it by now? I know I would be...
All I can say is, I sure hope Mark Ronson doesn't screw them over too.

Did they really listen to it and think, "Wow, this is wonderful music....they thought putting out a random collection of sounds and backbeats was a good way to publicize RCM? This part of your quote hits the nail on the head, for me. There is NO musicality to this. It is a cacophony of sound...no...a cacophony of NOISE. I think I'm being redundant...but whatever. There was nothing musical about this. At all. Even the worst song in the world--whatever you feel that is--has more musicality than this.
