Sounds great! He said it was mid July and that the album should be done by the end of the month, which means the album should really be done at this point.
Everything he said describing the album SOUNDS good--the military drum, follow up to RIO with them playing together and the individual instruments coming through. Hopefully this will be out within the year, although they're without a record label at the moment, aren't they?
I like how Roger has really emerged as such an intelligent, mature voice for the band. I still remember the painfully shy drummer from the first 3 albums that you would never hear a peep from! Still waters run deep...

Aw, Rog is so cute. I'd do him. Blimey, that's lowered the tone of this thread a bit! ;D Seriously, I think it all sounds very promising indeed. Borrowing elements from the Rio album can only mean good things really. And allowing the band to dust off their old instruments is another stepping stone, really hyped for this record now. Thanks for the update Rog! (if you're reading). Going to be a classic, I can feel it.

Aw, Rog is so cute. I'd do him. Don't think you're alone in that. He does come across as very genuine, funny and grounded which always nice. Like how he reaffirmed that it is Ronson making the 'Rio' claims rather than them and it is only their methods in making the music that relate to the early days rather than trying to recapture the early sound as some on here believe they are trying to do.

Bet you two have been digging out that balcony pic!

I thought it was funny when he said "The wind chimes will not be on the next record".. OH MAN!! I thought maybe they were going old school like all the noises on RIO. Ice in the glass, piano rods getting thrown on the ground and played backwards. Hmm. "Rog, you might want to re-think NOT having the wind chimes on the new album, that sounds like "classic" Duran Duran to me." LOL.
