Well, If I had the opportunity to work with Duran , I would feel a little smug ! Are you sure there is not a touch of the green eyed monster !!
Its true , you didnt hear a peep from the timberland camp about RCM.
Mark is obviously really chuffed about the work hes done with Duran .
I say good on him ! Let him wallow in the fabulousness of it !!

Let me get this straight. Mark Ronson is doing FREE PUBLICITY for Duran Duran...and someone is unhappy about it?? I suppose it would be better if Ronson said NOTHING, like Timba and Justin Timberlake did, eh? Yeah, their marked LACK of promotion did wonders for RCM, didn't it? We, as fans, should be doing cartwheels that Ronson likes the band enough to give them a hand with promotion - especially since, without a label, it might be the ONLY promotion their new album gets. Is the album any good? Who knows? But I'll take Ronson over Mr. "Give me my paycheck and let me out of here" Timbaland any day of the week. I don't care about sales. And besides that point, I'm not talking about PLUGGING the album. You people are misreading me. It's the way he talks about it. He's smug. Can't say I've ever got the impression the Ronson was being smug over working with Duran. It's not as if he is parading around the place acting as if Duran are lucky to be working with him and thanks to him he is saving their careers. To me it just comes across as if he can't believe his luck to be/ or have worked with them as he was/is such a fan. Yes, he has mentioned this is in a lot of interviews he has done but as a Duran fan you just can't complain about that. It reminds everyone they are still around and have a new album out very soon.

He comes across as being almost embarrassed to be working with them, his heroes. I mean, he has bigged them up continuously, how great they are, how they have influenced his new album, not the other way round. Bar his work on Back To Black, I am not a massive Ronson fan, but you would have to be pretty silly to not see that he is completely genuine and throwing his full weight behind Duran Duran right now and risking a lot: his own reputation.

good grief, mark is a cool kid, kudos to him for stating over and over again how great dd are. like someone said, in the end, it's on dd to make a good record, not him - although he does state he's been giving them some direction (especially with simon), but in a way that makes simon look like a pro and not a diva. geeezzz. good for ronson he's happy with the album - that's his opinion. now lets take a breather and wait to see if we agree.
