- The first thing my eyes go to is that big black hole. It's creepy and off-putting. What's with the tendrils?
- Why is DD using a Western-type font? Doesn't fit their style at all. It looks like the cover of a country album.
- It's unappealing, even moreso when you think that Duran Duran wants to sell themselves as a fun, dancey pop band that's full of optimism and lightheartedness. This cover doesn't convey that at all. It looks rusty, ancient, dreary and depressing.
- People have argued that nobody buys an album on the cover art alone, and after seeing this cover, I can only hope so. Needless to add...I don't like it.

It looks like a hair clog pulled from a sink with a coat hanger.

I think its alright. ... I'd like a second Big D though. Double D's are better. lol ... Perhaps diagonal from the one there now. & A little more color than just gray and the interesting pink. ... But it's def. Duran Duran. And it looks like a dandelion, and a bed. ... ? lol It'll be gotten use to like all the other album covers whether you like it or not.

I think it's really interesting, and I'm looking forward to seeing it in person so that I can really look at it. It's hard to tell from the picture. Clunie Reid is a tough artist to really "get" unless you're into contemporary art - which I'm guessing that most Duranies are not. A lot of people are commenting how into style that Duran is, and this album artwork has no style to it. I don't agree at all. The band has always been about fashion, art AND style - and they don't follow the rules that anyone else has set. That's why they went with Clunie, and I think that alone speaks volumes. Bottom line though - it's what's inside that really counts. People aren't going to be buying this for the cover anyway, especially in this day and age when iTunes runs the show.

Yeah it's pretty awful, but I'd much rather a crappy looking album with great songs, than a flashy looking piece of art with average songs.
Now let's just hope the album is full of great songs!

Clearly, the left hand side is "dark" and the right is "light". I do see a bed on the right but am not sure what the left is. I like that it isn't obvious to all of us. Maybe that is the point. I LOVE the fact that it is making me think!

First let me say that I am not one to judge a book by it's cover. I've not been a fan of a DD album cover since TWA but I've liked the music within. And I usually can't stand modern art. That said, I like this cover. I think I'd appreciate it more if I knew what the heck it meant (of course I could say the same about some of Simon's lyrics), but it isn't going to turn me away from the music...

First reaction was: WTF is THAT? Second look has got me studying it a bit more ... Have to see whether/not it will grow on me.
