It's vintage dreamy Duran! (retooled for today) I agree, it is wonderful! We are all in for a treat with this new material!

I don't see why it could not be a single. Just because it is a slower track, doesn't detract from its worthiness as a single. Duran Duran has churned out plenty of down-tempo hits and people outside the core fanbase have loved those songs. It is true that "All you need is now" could have been the breakout single that Duran Duran has needed for years but I think we know that is not going to happen thanks to those verses that would not have required much work to fix. "Mediterranea", on the other hand, is a modern-day "Save a Prayer" (and that was a big hit too back in the day - or at least I think it was. I was a 4-year old that didn't really follow charts back then).

So I finally get to listen to the said track and it's excellent, the version on YouTube is highly compressd and not a true representation of what we should expect.
With this in mind it's even more exciting as the sound is very much something similar to '' last chance on the stairway'' it has a similar vibe IMO.
I prefer this more than AYNIN, perhaps the official version non compressed when I can play it through headphones will grab me more than it does currentley, the verses really put me off the entire track and the grating synth just sounds too industrial for DD IMO
This is a lovely laid back summer vibe track that as some have said could of been a lost B side from the Rio era or a list track from the sessions.

I live this song. It could have been taken from the Rio sessions. It looks like we´re back in 1982. Thanks Duran for this song. It´s the sound that we have been waiting for 28 years. And Dom plays like Andy on his 20´s. Welcome back Duran Duran!!

A precious song, nostalgic and emotive, with a very magical feeling in it It has that "sea magic" like "Palomino" or "Grey Lady of the Sea" Dom´s guitar is fantastic, but I,d like to hear the "Cuccurullo treatment"for this one, maybe some liquid guitar sound like "Come Undone"
