As much as i love Andy for being an original member, i really dislike the fact that he always trash the band whenever he is not. He does? I mean, I know he did in '86, but my impression was that he was very gracious toward the band in his book 'Wild Boy', and if he dissed the band recently I must have missed it. What exactly did he say? Gracious indeed. And I remember reading he sincerely wished the band good luck with their new album. On his FB last summer he even mentioned that he would like to finish 'Reportage'. No trashing.

yeah, i also haven't seen him trash the band since leaving. and as for him trashing notorious back then but playing it while with dd, well it's no surprise. people's opinions can change over time, you mature, have new experiences, and while you didn't like asparagus when you were a kid, maybe now you think it's okay. if how i felt in 1986 were to define the rest of my life, i'd be screwed! though still, it doesn't really matter to me what andy (or warren) thinks of the new record. if they like it, hey that's awesome. if not, oh well, it's not like they have to tour for it or anything. i really can't comment on reportage vs. aynin and what andy would think because as it's been said, none of us have heard reportage. i'm just glad the band seems happy (for now at least) about aynin and hopefully they'll continue to feel that way. ultimately that's all that really matters, is that they're happy with the music they produce.

I imagine Andy's too busy with his own stuff to pay a whole lot of attention to DD's new album. Between his family, his music and his health issues, he's got enough to deal with right now. He probably cares about it as much as they care about what he's doing, which is to say, not very much at all.

>>it was poor quality, the record company rejected it record company types are morons... just because they rejected it, certainly doesn't mean it was poor quality. unfinished, maybe...but poor quality remains to be seen. I agree!!
