My wife tolerates them. She used to be into REM and even had the Arcadia album way back when, but has since "grown out" of pop music in general. She likes much more mellow and "adult" stuff now, and we both still listen to current Neil Finn/Crowded House (who kinda has that more mellow sound she likes). She hates Duran of the 90s through RCM and would basically not let me listen to them in the car when she's around. But I made her listen to AYNIN for a few days in the car and she actually started warming up to it, and even started singing along to Leave A Light On, which was quite a feat! She also won't listen to their old 80s stuff because she's kinda sick of it! Oh well. We have plenty of other things we share interests in. Duran just isn't one of them! But I may have to drag her to their upcoming concert if they play close by. Now my love for Kate Bush, on the other hand, is a huge problem. He LOATHES Kate and will absolutely not even tolerate listening one single note of hers!

my fiancé tolerates it. we started out as friends so he knew from the first day he knew me that i was a huge fan. i make no secret about it.
he's an 80s fan so he likes all the big hits and recognises rio's a great album. i think he's heard everything but liberty and the wedding album now - he's not a big fan of thank you or medazzaland but liked pop trash. he even quite likes aynin. he hasn't been to a show with me yet (who knows when he will since an aus/nz tour is seeming unlikely now), but i've warned him that i will want to see multiple shows if possible, etc. i'm sure he'll like them even more once he sees them live because they always put on an amazing show.
i think it helps because the way i am about dd, he is about u2. everyone's got something they're incredibly passionate about, but when it's for a specific artist/group i think it makes it easier for their so/spouse to understand.

My wife likes them ( not enough to go on message boards and follow them closely like I do).
She saw them live in the early 90's when she was in college and our weeding song is 'thank you', DD's cover version.
AYNIN is really growing on her! And my 3 yr old loves Notorious!
If we can get an overnight kid sitter we will both be going to the St. Augustine show on October.
They are pretty much the soundtrack to my life! I saw the Hungry like the wolf video back in 1982 when I was 9 and liked them ever since.
