It sounds as though all 4 of the guys will be there, if that article on DDU was acurate. "in the Arena right in the middle of all 4 sims"

"in the Arena right in the middle of all 4 sims" I think by "sims" they mean the four islands that make up the DDU, not the four band members. The arena is right in the middle of the DDU, bordering all four islands.

WOOHOO! was just there a minute or two and had another engagement I went to however I left early so I could come back and report. Uh its a Universe DDU stands for Duran Duran Universe its a world in 2nd Life ran and owned by Duran Duran says the sight on 2nd lIFE. heres the article written on it in July:
Its only been here sense 6-27 this year so its new and heres a In the 2 weeks since it opened on 15 June, Duran Duran’s presence in Second Life (Duran Duran Universe/DDU) has attracted just 165 unique visitors. That’s one in ten-thousand active Second Life users.
Now, before you jump to any conclusions, I’m not criticising the results here. I’m explaining them.
For starters, active Second Life users would form only a subset of Duran Duran fans. The majority of active Second Life users were in their late teens or older when the band became a hit back in first years of the 1980s. Not every one of them is going to be a fan, and not all of those would necessarily be enthusiastic enough about the band to go visit.
Picture this: a Duran Duran museum opens up in your town. Do you visit it? Do you visit it within the first week or two of it opening?
Me? I’d probably get around to it eventually. If one of my friends chose to go, I’d probably go with them.
That’s a network effect, and network effects don’t yield fruit right away.
Another thought experiment: you open a new Web-site or blog. Do you shut it down if it doesn’t justify its costs within the first day? Week? Month?
No, of course you don’t.
Most big Web-sites – like most big libraries, museums and tourist venues – only started with fairly indifferent attendance. A large launch followed by steady attendance is the rare exception, not the norm. This blog started with two or three readers, and is now into six figures after about five years.
Network effects build up venues (on the Web and elsewhere) over time. If you’re keeping your own end up, and are sufficiently patient.
Aside from the inevitable visits by journalists, Duran Duran Universe in Second Life is probably mostly being visited by ‘core’ fans at present. There might only be a few of them, but there don’t have to be many to make the project worthwhile. If the site is satisfying, those core fans will bring in more, less-core fans.
In five years, the Second Life site could be a raging success (I doubt that the official Duran Duran Web-site is a financial success, but – of course – that isn’t the point of it). Or the DDU could be a deserted failure. The thing is that you don’t really know unless you stay the course, study your market, and adapt to them. You know, just as you would in any business or with any Web-site.
If you’re not planning to commit to that course for at least five years, you’re generally embarking on a losing course from the get-go.
As is often said these days, “Go big or go home” – Half-measures are just wasted time and money.

WOW! never thought Id be in a position to be supportive to Duran Duran be a supporter without spending money anyways and be ina good position to help promote anything they do. Of course all of us who show up regular will help it grow!
So its so cool i was only there a minute but Ill go back and spend time and try to take some of my 2nd Life friends too.Uh i have a charector who goes to 2nd Life regular. Alot of people go there go for romance or dates or something adult themed however I have no transportation to g0 out . There are alot of religious temples there too. So like today i went and visited the Quakers and I have a Zen Temple I go to regular which is really cool, they have guided meditation verbal guided classes so i get free Zen classes on 2nd Life. I myself am dislexic and some question how I do so well in the 2nd Life game if Im dislexic.
However sometimes I set my 2nd Life on basic program and that makes it easier for me to move around and chat better. My computer sometimes lags and I need to get an enegry card to get it to do better but anyways; I can walk run and fly and sit down chat change clothes and buy clothes.
Other stuff like playing games animating my charecter to pick up things grasping things touching things and sometimes picking up notecards and keeping up with my inventory and clothes and free stuff is really hard. So i do well enough with it teleport and walk around like I can spend time at DDU when i want to but there are some things I have a hard time doing, I can only do basic basic stuff there but thats enough to hang out there so.
Put it this way Im good enough with it to spend time up there so Ill try to get t5hings going there, of course I wont rez or build on their demension but I couldnt do that even if I wanted. Ills e if there are any rules there too. Im celest! My 2nd Life name Celest Vantelli.

I went to the DJ set Roger did today. The music was good, as I expected, but there were way more people in one place than SL could handle. It was very laggy, made it difficult to control one's avatar, and it even booted Roger off at least once.
... I didn't stay long.
