Those CD longboxes are AWESOME (especially SRTR, Liberty, and Big Thing)! I've only got The Wedding Album longbox (I didn't get a CD player until winter '92/'93 and ordered most of my first round of DD CDs from BMG music service). Thanks for sharing these pics!

Glad to share. I love looking @ collections, especially cool items. I was hoping to show a few things to those who might have some similar things and be interested in seeing more. Of course, it is also frustrating, lol.

Is that 3" promo cd single of Violence Of Summer a bootleg? Never seen that one before and never heard of a French mix.

Is that 3" promo cd single of Violence Of Summer a bootleg? Never seen that one before and never heard of a French mix. that's a bootleg. it's probably one of the many sold by Duranstore or whatever name they went by or are going by on Ebay. they were 'notorious' for auctioning / selling off the 3" CD singles that were purportedly "promos", but were in fact bootlegs. now, whether or not the 3" is a CD-R or factory pressed CD is something missnovembertuesday will have to let us know about.

I just added a whole bunch of fun things in my album. Remark to the pic of the two RIO albums... I think the difference is the version of HLTW, one contains the short and the other contains the long version. Or check Tom's page about all the different RIO US editions! Best regards, Peter

I have both Harvest label versions as well as the Capitol one all from US and EMI from UK, amongst others. I will have to wait until I get the things back out again to look more closely, but I am pretty sure that CD single "promo" looked real to me. But, I will have to look @ the disc itself more closely. I was mainly focusing on getting pics of things to post.

Looking @ the details of the pictures, I can say it has ALL the info about production and photography credits and all that in the fine print and it has very clearly printed Capitol Records logos on both the insert and on the CD, as well as copyright info. It really doesn't look like any kind of boot. I didn't think they made them that good and used the logos and everything back then. I know NOW it is so easy to duplicate things, but I am surprised to hear you think it is not official. I have no idea where I got this one, though. I have had it put away for a long time.
