Hi, i'm a fresh member of this great forum. I'm italian and i'm a young fan of Duran Duran. Some months ago i would restart to collect only vinyls and laserdiscs of DD. I'm not an expert at all, so i would know if you can help me to know the right value of vinyls. So if you can i wish you write me some of the rariest and wanted items (only vinyl, not CD, MC ecc.) and the honest price i can buy them. I usually buy on Ebay and there are a lot of expensive vinyls, i don't know if they are overpriced or not... Thank you for your information, they are always appreciated.

Hi Lusco,
Welcome! Great to read you love vinyl as well!
You can use popsike.com to check for which amount items were sold. I use it a lot!
Good luck and let us know what you scored (we have a separate thread for that 'latest addition to my collection').
Best regards, Peter

Walter, I am curious. How old are you? I'm 30 in next october, i discovered '80 music and specially Duran Duran 15 years ago, so i didn't lived the Duran Duran era. But i loved them immediatly and specially their vinyls and sleeve. So i started to collect them but without contact was very difficult to find them. Only in local vinyl market i could find some common italian edition LP or 12''. Now Ebay has helped me very much to restart my collection.

Hi Walter,
Welcome! Ebay Italy has lots of great DD vinyl bootlegs most of the time, often for a good price. Feel free to let us know what you're looking for or what you've seen for sale and we can always tell you what we paid for those items, if we own them of course. Keep us posted on your new additions!
Take care, Frank

the worst thing about getting records from italy is the shocking cost of postage :-(

Thank you all for your time! You are right, cost of postage in Italy is very high, Poste Italiane ask much money in posting to Italy, for abroad is ishocking like you say. And sometimes italian seller are not honest and try to take you money they couldn't do. As soon i will get my last vinyls i will tell you in the other post... I have a question: in these days a collector (not on ebay) have offered to me 12'' "Sound of Thunder" in excellent condition (but we have not played it) and asked for 150£. Do you think is too much?

I think I would buy it for that price as I've been looking for that one for a long time and it's one of the items that's very high on my "wants" list. For things I've been looking for for a long time I would easily pay more than on other items.
