Been waiting for this!
Can't figure out what kind of case is being used... Anyone? Hopefully not bigger than a standard jewel case otherwise it won't fit in my cd-box.
Thanks, Peter

Really a shame that their duet of Sweet Jane with Lou Reed isn't on the cd... Yeah, thus making this an incomplete show.

Really a shame that their duet of Sweet Jane with Lou Reed isn't on the cd... In fact, DD Fan Club used to release a different recording of this show made by BBC I guess, with 'Sweet Jane'. I have one of these: www.discogs.com/Duran-Duran-The-Final-Show/release/3124064The sound quality is 8 out of 10, I'd say, and this new one is more complete even with no inclusion of duet with Lou Reed and the sound quality is 10 out of 10 this time. The packaging is slim half-size DVD-style case, like a normal CD case but 2 times thinner. Picture sleeve is double sided and more details can be read when case is opened. I'll make a photo of the CD itself a bit later, looks like Skin Trade US red vinyl with red fingerprint and black text over it, nice.

A few points: 1.This recording has nothing to do with the BBC. It was probably recorded by DIR (Designs In Radio), the company that made shows like King Biscuit. 2.The original broadcast version included Sweet Jane, as performed by Lou Reed. A couple of years ago EMI released a complete version of the show to tie in with the Notorious remaster. This featured an extra 4 tracks but did not include Sweet Jane. Maybe because of rights reasons? 3.Most versions sold were lossy but a few retailers sold a lossless version. This is where this bootleg company got theirs from. Hopefully the other shows will appear in lossless too.

There is a Westwood One licence radio show album called 'Startrack Profile' that was aired in 1988, with Lou Reed's "Sweet Jane". duranduran.wikia.com/wiki/Startrak_Profile_-_Pop_Concert:_88-01Tracks missing from the show include Lou Reed performing "Walk on the Wild Side", plus John Taylor singing the intro to "The Reflex". The 1987 Timeline @ Duran Duran Wiki also adds Niles Rodgers was a guest.

Was the setlist the normal one for the tour? Was matter of feeling played? Rob

Was the setlist the normal one for the tour? Was matter of feeling played? Rob Hi Rob, That was a great tour. I caught them in Birmingham, which was the third time I saw the band. I don't know if "A Matter of Feeling" was played in New York. With the addition of "Sweet Jane" and "Walk on the Wildside" it may have been dropped. As you may know the setlist for the tour was the same for most shows, except the odd song was played in a different order, such as "Skin Trade" and the two encore songs. Other tour changes included "Singin' In The Rain" (Japan), "If She Knew What She Wants" (with The Bangles) and "Rio" (Brazil).
