Hi all, been a while!
Anyway, I'm one for cranking up a Duran Duran tune to top volume in the car as I really don't get to listen to them anywhere else.
And for some reason I'm really into Wild Boys at the moment which was never really a fav of mine but on one of these carefree days while belting out me own voice to it I got to the end and had to have a little chuckle.
Were they taking the piss?
Never noticed it before due to it being on the fade out bit but they have someone shout "WILD BOYS!" in an extended long drawn out way opposite to how they shout it out in the track. Just jumped out at me and made me laugh, and thought I'd share as well.
Anyway pretty pointless post really but I'm thoroughly bored and started thinking about this and end bits of other songs I'd like to have heard as a main bit of the track for eg. Breath After Breath and Ordinary World.
Right cheers and see you in another year when I decide to post!

I've always that it was John for some reason. Don't really know why, but I remember when I first noticed it (back during the cassette days) John came to mind. It is a bit weird.

Great topic! I love the little things you notice as you turn the volume up during the fade out. Thinking about ends of songs
1.I am sure I hear talking during the final 30 seconds or so of A View To A Kill. Any ideas on that? 2.The end of the video version of ITSISK is different and I prefer it to the normal version. 3.Both Union of the Snake and Rio seem like they have proper endings if you listen to the fade outs carefully. Why they just didn't let the track finish like that than fade out the ending is odd to me. 4.I like the "whistling" part at the very very end of Matter of Feeling.

I love whenever Simon whistles. I don't know why, but it was always a favourite part for me.

He whistles very well. I loved that part on those live Crystal Ships where he whistled in the middle.

I love Crystal Ship. It has such long phrases in it - turn it up loud and you can hear him catch a breath in the middle. Isn't there a version on YouTube of him singing it just with Warren on TV? Off to have a noisy afternoon with ADITM CD - just hope the neighbours are out and their dog is fast asleep. Rottweiller howling backing vocals = not good

There are quite a few Crystal Ships on youtube with just him and Warren, it seems like they were the ones who got "stuck" with the promo tour to the talk shows and stuff. I love it though. It would be better if the neighbors had a Beagle. They have beautiful voices and I'm sure would harmonize quite well with Simon.
