The Tomorrow Never Dies track (i.e. Last Day on Earth) is terrible and wretched. I am glad no-one approved or released it. The vocal quality (all that mid 90s distorted shite) is terrible too.

insert code here Very tempted to buy this for the AVTAK 12" mix. But it will be on youtube before long I'm sure. I would rather buy an official compilation where the money goes to the band, rather than the guys who put it on CD. This will not happen soon since Most of these tracks are all in the EMI backcatalogue. HQ bootlegs such as those released by DD fan club are made with a lot of effort and love for the music, I don't see a problem there. People who buy these releases will definately also buy official releases of thiese remixes, probably even in multiple formats. AVTAK sounds quite authentic and 1980s to me, but would be nice to have more details on who mixed it. This x100 ps blaah mentioned Steve Thompson, and yes, this appears to be his mix. I've just posted the question to him (no mention of the source, of course - just a link to the soundcloud file that even the band have now shared, so no worries there) on his Steve Thompson Productions facebook page. We'll see if he responds! As the band will never release the AVTAK mix (John even denies it exists), or any of the other tracks that are on the cd for that matter, I don't have a problem with buying the cd. Ripping it from youtube is just as bad, at least the people who made this cd made a high quality product, the sound quality is amazing. And with the price they charge they really won't make much profit on it... Agreed, except for ripping it from youtube being bad. When something is not an official release but is being sold, there isn't really a moral high ground to say "no fair" that someone can get it free. Even an HQ youtube upload isn't going to sound as good as the CD anyway. I was late to the party, only finding out about all this stuff two days ago, and immediately ripped every mix I could find from youtube. Even if I'd gotten them all that way, I'd still have turned around and bought Unleashed, as I just did a few hours ago as soon as I learned of its existence! That particular site puts the utmost care into their items...I only wish that EMI would use as much care when making DD remasters!

Wow.. what a treat! Love it.. Most of these versions new to me, and certain a compilation of good stuff. Loved the Electric Sex (!) Mix of Barbarella and Restless Natives v of ASWI. Also very excietd over the stripped Down Version of Perfect Day, the "simple" piano work made a "Eyes Wide Shut"-vibe to it. Joachim
