I cannot vote as I'm undecided what to think. For now all we can do is just discuss DD14 (as we should, even if we know little compared to past records). Definitely a poll to revisit in September.

I've let my expectations run a little high because of how good AYNIN, Ronson being involved again, and Nile contributing.
I will say being optimistic about Duran's newest album is a welcome change for me! I remember everything post TWA was anticipated with very little enthusiasm and even some apprehension from me. I had high hopes for Astronaut but I was pretty disappointed, which brought me back down again to expect so-so releases--you know, love one or two tracks but regard the rest as disposable. I even kept my expectations low for AYNIN. I mean, who was Mark Ronson back then? I hadn't really heard anything about or from him, only knowing that he produced Amy Winehouse.
So, I AM looking forward to the new album and have some...decent hopes for it. I like what I hear from Pressure Off so I hope it's a good representation of what is to come.

I think there will two or three songs that I love, a handful that I like a lot, a couple that are OK and at least one, maybe two that I hate.

Duran Duran have released 13 albums plus 2 major side projects that ranged from very good to excellent in quality.....we should expect that #14 will be exceptional!

Agreed, that tends to be Duran's way since Rio 33 years ago (where every song was pretty much awesome) so it's probably not too far off the mark. It would be lovely to get an album with no crappy instrumentals and where you don't want to skip any song whatsoever; to me all killer and no filler (ala Rio) is what the band should be aiming for every record, but it's very difficult to achieve. Let's see how we go in a few months' time

I found SATRT roughly to have roughly no filler in it for me, totally different to Rio obviously but strong for 90%. To be honest approx half of AYNIN I could live without, especially that great named leopard track that was actually a long bore, never got the hype.

Hard to base an opinion off interviews and a crappy cellphone vid of part of a song played in concert. But they've got some good people involved so I am hopeful.

I EXPECT! the new album will be a mixed bag of songs which some will love and some will hate, and we'll spend the next 4 years talking about the pro's and con's of Runway Runaway 2 as a single Vs Lets Go To The Disco (the nile rogers remix of course) Vs etc.
