Do we even know where that picture with all the images came from?

I do know what you mean. The imagery references to their past do suit a hits compilation much better than a brand new studio album in many ways but maybe when we get to learn the reason behind the album title, the sleeve may make more sense.

Thank you John for your response.
But i still would like to read why eeyore thinks it is necessary to display my message while i have deleted it. I have a good reason to have done this, so it is very low to publish it the way you did. And also, why the capitals? Do you think by screaming you will be heard?
Curious for your response... Thanks in advance.

Just my take on the name with the imagery, but isn't it perhaps more likely that they're referring to the Chinese religious practice of 'paper gods' (also known as 'paper horses') - that typically depict one of the deities or Buddha?
(these are traditionally woodblock printed either to be burnt for specific ceremonies or to be kept in the house for the entire Chinese year & then burnt)
Well, it would then suggest that the images are representing the specific songs as the 'deities' that are worshiped, but then burnt to make way for new ones - albeit that the actual choice of images would be slightly questionable as, for example, having PD (as it's not their song) & BTG (as it clearly wasn't a hit & isn't something that most fans would see as a classic to be revered).
if i'm correct, as an idea then it's an interesting one, but i'm personally not overly keen on the execution as, whilst it 'could' be argued that it's kind of mimicking the idea that Duran songs were completely disposable by making them appear like shonky cereal box stickers or some such...
...if they'd been slightly more interestingly rendered then it would have held onto the idea of the past being important to people & D2 being, in many people's lives, a part of that; though perhaps nearer to some of Simon's wallpaper comments from a decade ago rather than necessarily over-inflating a more general import.

Aglewis723, as a single 'Pressure Off' has been announced, logic would dictate that the next promotion would be the album. 'Paper Gods' ...no? sure, but it's not official, yet people on here are stating it as fact. Aglewis, now it's official. Satisfied?
