Roger on 'You Kill Me With Silence': “You Kill Me with Silence” - it was first song we did with Ben Hudson and it came to us very quickly, The verse was the the first thing Ben and I worked on together, and I love how the verse builds the tension and has an incredible release in to the chorus. The lyric is very relate-able as well, especially for people who are in a relationship.
John on Pressure Off's video situation: That’s interesting that we don’t have a video for Pressure Off, we hadn’t intended that to happen. But here we are & I kinda like it.
John on Tour Situation: We’ve got some American dates this coming fall. Then the UK in November and December. I hope we will be back in the US in the spring. Far east, Australia, Europe. Hope to get everywhere over the next 12 months.

Which single on #PaperGods #DD14 will have a video and when will it be released? #DuranDuran #JohnTaylor #RogerTaylor #PaperGodsonTour
That’s interesting that we don’t have a video for Pressure Off, we hadn’t intended that to happen. But here we are & I kinda like it. I’m looking forward to your contributions on Vimeo and You Tube! -JT
Are their remixes coming for Pressure Off?
There is a Night version of Pressure Off about to be released. -JT

Thing about favorites is they change. All the time. Right now I’m all about the new album, and all the songs are my favorites. But I was listening to some songs from Astronaut yesterday Point of No Return, Finest Hour, and they stayed with me all night. -JT
Would you ever consider doing an "entire album" concert (plus various favourites as encores) like many artists are doing these days? If so, which album would you choose?
We talk about it. But I’m not sure I like the idea. It seems to take away the unpredicatbility out of a show running order. No surprises. -JT
doshiijun asked: Do you feel pressure to match what you did on All You Need Is Now? Why? My wife and I are really excited for the new album. Can't wait to see you on tour.
RT: Thank you! I guess ALL YOU NEED IS NOW set the bar quite high, and we felt it. We knew we had to come up with a great follow up, which is why PAPER GODS took a long time to make. We decided we would keep working until we had the album we were satisfied with. That was a result of AYNIN being so well accepted. Therefore, we spent serious time on PG!
icoughsyrup asked: What helps you guys write music?
The music comes pretty easy but I find lyrics harder. We had a lot of help from our producers on this album. -JT
How is making an album different now than when you first started?! Easier now or then?
RT: In some ways it is harder, because the whole process is much more drawn out than it used to be. We used to record very quickly in comparison. But we didn’t have the technology we have now, so in that sense, it was harder back then. Every drum part had to be recorded in one take, you really had to know the song inside and out before you went in to record, which isn’t something we have to contend with now. We also can be more creative now. We can add a bass drum, move a snare part, etc. #PaperGods
Anonymous asked: favourite song from paper gods and why?

thnksfrthphnmmrs asked: Was recording the new album fun?
RT: I don’t think you can describe it as ‘fun’ but there are some great moments of inspiration, and great moments when you hear things back and know you got something, but it’s generally a long period of determination and patience, waiting for that creative spark to give us something we’re all happy with. #PaperGods
