Diamond in the Mind. Hands down... I do like its song collection and the performanc itself, but the mastering of this album hurts my ears. I have both the vinyl and the CD and both have poor audio qualify IMO; when I listen to it I listen to the audio of the bluray. I think I prefer the TheMusic reunion series as live albums post 2000, especially the first Osaka show from 2003.

My only real complaint about A Diamond in the Mind is that the crowd noise is pretty high in the mix, espeically at the beginning and end of the songs. Whenever they come on some sort of shuffle and I'm wearing my headphones, its hurts my ears and/or causes me to turn the volume a bit lower!

The album is heavily compressed, I hate that: dr.loudness-war.info/album/view/128670

@ oakey, I know what you mean. Although not live albums, just to explore this point and see if my ears where right, I compared Astronaut and Notorious albums. It seems the higher the number the better as shown on the chart;

I like the Thanks to Warren bootleg, the one where they say goodbye to Warren, Joe and Wes. But I haven't heard it in ages.

Yeah, everything from the Loudness Wars frustrates me so bad. I can still listen to the music in the end, but it's a shame that a lot of quality is being lost for the sake of just being high on the volume. Then I have to deal with a lot of music files having different volumes and having to adjust it every few seconds when I'm out and about (or even just sitting at the computer!). That site reminds me that I'll have to invest in a decent turntable one of these days. I have one at home and a handful of records already, but the machine itself needs some refurbishment.
