It cost $100 NZD, which I did have to think twice about, I thought it would be about $60. I do collect DD stuff, but I’m not obsessive. It is a nice looking item though so I am pleased to have got it. There were four copies in the record store plus two copies of Budoken from last year for $30. At $100 a pop I don’t think they’ll fly off the shelves.

People in the store were looking and talking about it though. It didn’t indicate that it was on coloured vinyl either, which all of the other releases seemed to do. All of the RSD releases were expensive, but DDs was stand out pricey. It is cool though, don’t get me wrong. It was impossible to resist once I got it in my hot little hands!!!

I got a copy in Aberdeen this morning, having queued since 7am (I was 30th in queue). There were five copies available when I got in, and the guy behind me also bought a copy. Cost was £40, so quite pricey.
The package is very nice, seems to be high quality, live photos in the gatefold. The colored vinyl is lovely, but my copy unfortunately has an imperfection on the pink vinyl with a streak of blue running across it.
Haven't played it yet so can't comment on sound quality.
Additionally picked up the a-ha alternative mix of their debut album.

I hate that edited version of GOF, its a travesty. You really think they couldve gone back to the master tapes.

I hate that edited version of GOF, its a travesty. You really think they couldve gone back to the master tapes. How can they bastardise that 12 minute SBS tour GOF version. I remember seeing GOF played live like right before my eyes in 83 It exceed my expectations considering up to that point I had only heard the DD Live 82 version which had played on TV to promote the SBS tour some months/weeks before the SBS tour began in Australia. The CHIC girls are introduced (backing singers) as is Raphael (percussionist) and JT played a snipped of CHICs "good times" when he was introduced ! What is there not to LOVE ! How could they edit it? Gee wizz was there no lesson learnt from the Arena final pressing? Give me the 84 forum show any day if that's the case. In in my book it's not DD when edited COZ that's not how it was initially recorded/performed live.

Thinking about picking up the A-ha disc tomorrow as well along with Queen ost and Stereophonics live in Dekota. Maybe even the Elton John album but I’d say all copies will be gone. I did notice different stores were charging different prices. For those that advertised prices I did my homework the night before and went straight to the cheapest store but still paid $70 AUD.

Mine was just a bit under 36 euros from the local records store. But they only had one copy in stock.
