I have now But no, this does not ring a bell, neigher title, band name or the actual song. I am now certain that the Dutch live in a box when it comes to 80's new wave/1st wave music from the UK!!!!

Love ABC, they had several hits. About as many top 10 hits as Duran probably [edit: to my surprise ABC had no top 10 hits in the Netherlands after checking! Yet you do hear their songs on oldies stations]

Modern English has a great song, but ABC was one of my faves.

Modern English has a great song, but ABC was one of my faves. They didn’t exactly break the US either (Modern English) according to wikipedia. Wasn’t Martin Fry the one who introduced John Taylor to cocaine? Or am I making things up/mixing up stories?

I love ABC! I can’t think of a Modern English song beyond I Melt With You.
