I have been a HUGE Duran Duran fan for ages!!! I LOVE "Her Name is Rio" and "Hungry Like a Wolf". The question I've always wondered about, though, is whether Simon Lebon's (the lead singer of Duran Duran) real name is actually Simon Lebon. It seems too good to be true because Lebon means "the good" (as in "Simon the Good") in French. It seems too good to be true, dontcha think?!?!!?
What say this forum?
Thanks in advance,
Rob (a long time Duran Duran fan)

Yes... Simon John Charles LeBon. He has French Huguenot ancestry in him, hence "The Good" last name.

And he's quite proud of the fact too! As far as I know, Nick is the only one who changed his last name from Rhodes . . . the English tendency to call young school men Master ________ (fill in last name) obviously had a negative effect!

Come on Toni, you've heard that about Nick before, haven't you? Hell, we all used to joke about it as the REAL reason he changed his name!!
