I been a fan of Duran for years. About 15 years I'd say. My son actually quite likes them probably because I play their music a lot at home. We have recently moved to Melbourne so when I saw they were playing at the Palais Theater I asked if he wanted to go. He nearly bit my hand off. He was so excited. By the way he is 8.
So we arrive at the concert. Take our seats which were near enough to the front at the isle which was great because my son could then see the stage. The band come on playing The Valley which he loves. He's really enjoying the concert until some idiots decide to come out of their seats and dance in the isle closer to the stage right beside us. Security came down and asked them to sit down which they did, great!! 10 Min's later another gang came down dancing in the isle. One of the group had a particularly excited middle aged woman who was jumping up and down and swinging her arms. No problem but she elbowed my son in the head. Ok this was an accident so I politely asked her to be careful as she had elbowed my son and I moved him into my seat so I was facing the idle. The stupid bit*h lost her head saying who the f*ck do you think you are, I did not touch your f*cking son, you shouldn't bring your f*cking kids to a concert anyway etc etc. She was really aggressive and everyone around us stared in disbelief at the situation.
If I had not had my son with me I would have smacked her across the face but he was really upset now and wanted to go home. No problem I said brought him out and I spoke to someone in security who looked quite senior. I told him the story and he aplogised saying we've tried to tell them to stay at their seats and out of the isle as it's a fire hazard. However they won't listen to us. They are saying they have paid a lot of money to see the band. I told him I had too but I now had to go home.
What I would give to meet that heartless beeaatch again.
