........ big surprises, new arrangements? It's the same setlist every night! Even "New Religion" has been cut. Are you satisfied with this setlist so far? Also it seems a show that could be a little longer, don't you think?

I havent been to my show yet, but I am dying to hear the electro set. I would be perfectly fine with them not playing it if they put New Religion and White Lines back in the set.

No band pleases their fans when it comes to setlists. Go to any band message board and you will find the same gripes. As it goes, not many bands of Duran's longivity would try something like the electro set. We should give them a break and be thankful they still try new things almost thirty years on. x

My show is in 10 days and I would LOVE to hear new religion and white lines myself! I wouldn't care about the electroset either!

I have to say that yes the set list so far is so boring and usual, it wouldnt do any harm in changing and rotating it a bit, i thought i herd in several interveiws late last year that things such as Rio and HLTW and Save a Prayer would be given a rest, and so they should, lets hear some stuff off the first album, like Late bar and Anyone out there? even put Hold Back The Rain back in the set list as a regular, as this is a really good track live.
A lot of the older songs sound so good now being played live, lets give some of the others that dont get played anymore a blast, My Own Way is another? Joe

Outside of the electro set (which sounds good from what I've heard) the rest of the playlist is boring and stale. Which is why I'm not going. I won't pay $100 to hear a bunch of songs I've heard many times in concert, and others that are boring.

Well, the show in Seattle, they had the more night-versionish version of "Planet Earth," Dom tweaked the solo in "Ordinary World." I'm not remembering a lot different in the classic hits, though. A little disappointing, but everything still sounded great. It seemed they mostly tweaked the newer stuff. It all rocked and the guitar was much more forefront. Nite Runner sounded fantastic, and it's my least favorite new song. Simon also did Timba's rap in "Skin Divers," but left out the "oh, woh" part. It seems like they are still figuring out how to make SD work live and gave up on the Timba parts being recorded and/or lip-synced. It sounded pretty good, but I'm thinking they might still tweak it, as some layers of sound were lost. The electro-set was the main new attraction, and it was fabulous. I don't personally get to go to a lot of shows, as I live in Oregon. So I was OK with them mostly playing new stuff and hits. I can see where it would get boring for people fortunate enough to go to tons of shows. Maybe they'll start to mix things up as the tour progresses and they get comfortable/bored with the current setlist. But it WOULD have been better with some other album tracks. I remember John once saying he was thinking of "Land" and some others for the tour. I would have died and gone to heaven to hear "Land" live. Sorry to be long-winded...

I was THRILLED to see/hear the Electro Set. It was great. They were creative with the blending of the songs and I'm glad I finally got to hear it live and in person.
