It was quite the surprise. I'll be posting my full review later when I'm more awake.

It was a great surprise. I had never seen Billy Corgan in person, and he had a baseball cap on with his head down most of the time, so I wasn't sure who it was at first. I *thought* it might be Billy Corgan, and then after the song, Simon announced who it was. As an aside, I asked the girl standing next to me, "Who is that?" She looked at me like I was a total fool and said, "Duran Duran." Ummmm...decided it wasn't worth clarifying my question.

I'm really bad at giving reviews, otherwise I would do a proper one. Here are a impressions, though! --I looked around at the audience a few times, and everyone seemed to be really into it. I went out during a song I didn't like to visit the merch booth (NO LINE!), and when I came back, I stood at the back of the venue for a little while. People waaaaay in the back were just as energetic as the ones up front. (My own energy level was drained from the past few days of busy-busy-busy, so I can't take my own reaction to the show as a good barometer of 'energy level.') --Simon was more of a goofball last night than usual. Just. plain. goofy. --I loved the electroset. Skin Trade's new interpretation just pounds through you, and it's nearly unrecognizable 'cept for the lyrics. --The last third of the setlist messed with the energy of the show a little too much; the songs were in a weird order. GOF with band intros came at the beginning of the last third--way too early--which set up an expectation of being near the end. I looked at my watch, knowing they have done 2-hr. sets, and there was still 30 minutes to go. They did 30 minutes more, but it was just weird...for me, at least. In addition, Ordinary World was COMPLETELY in the wrong place. Dancey songs...OW...dancey songs. --Maybe this is just my own skewed perception/expectation to see a LOT of women and very few men at the shows, but there seemed to a shitload of GUYS! And, from my observation, all of them were there because they wanted to be, not because they were dragged! ;D I mean, let's face it...this fandom is 5-to-1 favoring the women. That's all I can think of.
