The longer version of "I Believe/All I need to know"....I agree with you, it's a good song To be honest, I was hoping to an extended version of Big Thing, with the original sound, something like they did with All She Wants Is or I Don't Want Your Love....but that mix is also OK

Not the worst remix i have ever heard by no means but i never liked the original track so i feel this is an improvement. Notorious will probably pop up soon as well and i hope EMI lose out on this big time.

I also hope so But it's alright - they should pay a way more attention to the remasters

Excellent! The longer version of I Believe was the demo version we already have but in good quality! Far better listen than the edit.
I'm so glad to have the two Big Thing mixes. It doesn't sound hip in anyway but I welcome any unreleased material with joy - and I will listen to them a lot I'm sure!
I was hoping they could somehow put the real ending to LSD by using a demo verison maybe - I hate that abrupt ending - a fade would have been better

I would wager the remixer of Big Thing is Daniel Abraham with Duran, but there is something Stock Aitken Waterman about it, which is distinctly worrying! I remember reading in Smash Hits that Big Thing was to be the first single originally, so perhaps they are summer 88 mixes (rather than late 1989 ones), they sound from that time.

I've listened to the 7" and the 12" on some web stream player and wondering why the bloody hell they did'nt release this as their 3rd single,a lost opportunity,it's a very hip mix for that time ,and would have done very well in the charts and the clubs.

I always thought of the song Big Thing as the band's answer to "Pour Some Sugar on Me" which was a huge hit around the same time in '88. And I was always annoyed by the processed sound of the drums, which SHOULD have been heavy, loud, booming rock drums. Instead, they sound tinny and electronic (it was the "sound" that was popular at the time).
This remix is a great alternative to the original. I love to hear the songs re-interpreted by them like this.

I'm not defending EMI, but apparently some very nasty emails were sent which seemed to back fire as they are apparently not fixing the remastered GOF.

It doesn't matter how much they will lose in the leak. Because of the awful sound quality of the previous releases, the botched up version of GOF, them not owning upto it, plus they added insult to injury by giving the fans the finger when we complained, I will happily download this illegally and not pay for the official release. My thought exactly, now its the time for us Duranies to give EMI the finger. All these dinosaur record companies just reek with greed. They dont care about music no more.
