The "record companies" don't really exist anymore...it's all Super Corporate. Universal, SONY/BMG, and EMI. I'm glad I still have my vinyl :-)

I don't know if it's error on the side of uploader or it's a mistake on the remaster, but the Daniel Abraham's mix of Drug is titled as "Original Mix" and the album version is titled as "Remix" That's not an error. The story goes that the version we all know from the album was NOT the original version of Drug. The slower version we heard later was the original and apparently the version that John preferred but he was vetoed and they went with the remix on the album release. Its nice to see the original version is back where it should have been back in 1988, in the track list. As for the 12" mix of Big Thing, I rather like it and for the time period it probably would have done rather well. Its a mystery why they didn't use it. I read somewhere (don't remember where) that the upcoming BT re-issue will feature liner notes by John regarding the two versions of Drug and that the album would feature the Daniel Abraham version instead of the remix version because the Abaham version is the original version that was intended for the album.

Yeah, John almost left Duran over the Drug debacle. I agree with John, I like Daniel Abraham version.
