I've worked with a couple of weird coworkers. One used to have a go at her screen, tell weird stories like Israelis were after her brother for some reason, she put her car through her parents lounge and her mother sat in her chair waving and smiling at her. She sat one side of me and the other sat the other side of me and she was just nutty. She came into work one day and said her boyfriend tried to strangle her and she was waving her hands around screaming "my hands, my hands", the Eastenders production team stole one of her story lines and she thought the British government were out to get her. I can tell you there were some times when I did feel all that safe, needless to say she was sectioned after a while.

LaPrincess, we had one of those. And unfortunately I was her boss. It was terrible! I thought *I* was the psycho one most of the time. But, my boss knew better - we fired her. Oh, my life is so much smoother now....

The poeple i work with at the moment are all ok.But i have had my share of weirdos in the past. When i first moved to London i got myself a live-in job and shared the room with 3 other girls(bunk beds and all that). We lived and worked together. One of them was so f___ed up that she got into heavy drugs and started to prostitute herself. What freaked me out is that she wasn't using any protection. She also took some of her clients to our place and we had things stolen from our room.

I think every workplace has there resident drama queen/king. I've known a few that could win Oscars for their performances. I've got about six or seven at my job. The good news is since I work in a different place every day I don't have to deal with them that often. Also my sups figured out that I work best on my own, so they always send me off somewhere by myself.

Perhaps she has a substance abuse problem, causing paranoia and other mental instability. It sounds like a rotten situation, and you have my sympathy.

About 10 years ago, I had a admin assistant who turned out to be complete psycho. She tried to pit my boss against me (saying she was doing my work and i didn't know what I was doing). Anytime she answered the phone she was rude to our employees. She claimed to be a very religious person and she could tell if someone was evil. If she looked at someone evil, two faces will show. I fired her after one month (she didn't show up for work and told my boss that she asked for the time off and I approved it - even forged my signature.)
I'm so thankful it's just me and my boss nowadays.

There was an admin assistant at my former workplace who caused her boss so much trouble over the stupidest of things. When I was preggers with my first child, another one of my co-workers was preggers with her first, too (they were born within weeks of each other). So, the whole department threw us a surprise dual baby shower that was VERY nice.
Well, the boss of the admin assistant gave each of us piggy banks painted in primary for me (having a boy) and pastel for my co-worker (having a girl). When we opened them, we heard that the admin assistant looked at her boss and said, "You gave them that? That's niiiice. Why didn't you give ME something that nice for secretary's day!" And, she left the conference room in a huff.
They started firing proceedings for the AA for a number of reasons, and she was gone in a few months.
