Hello to all. Just wondering if anyone is from Asheville, North Carolina or been there? My husband and I are going for our 15th wedding anniversary and staying at the Park Grove Inn and Spa. Was wondering what sites to see, things to do, etc?
Thanks, Kalee

It's a very crunchy town from what I've seen. The big attraction there is Biltmore House. Downtown's always a nice stroll too -lots of deco architecture.

I've been to Asheville. We stayed at the Grove Park Inn, toured the Biltmore. It was a beautiful place.
The inn is very nice. There are restaurants inside and a spa. Lots of things to do. You can golf, go horsebackriding, etc. Presidents and celebs have stayed there. I went there in the early 90's as a teen, but I remember it being $$$$.

My husband and I just went to Asheville last weekend. We stayed at the Renaissance Hotel. It was nice. Went to Biltmore Estate. Both being vegetarians, we loved The Laughing Seed restaurant.

Thanks everyone for your input. I think the scenery alone will be worth the trip since I live in flat Texas.

drive the blue ridge highway for a few miles and enjoy the turn offs. It's beautiful! Have some barbeque! Its nothing like texas! haha but its delicious (dont forget the cole slaw)!
