I see there are such and such members and guests listed online, but there's also one "invisible user." So what's the difference?

Guests are not logged in (and can't post), invisible users are logged in and can post, they just chose not to have their names displayed. I'm often invisible myself.

Ah thanks! I knew what a guest was of course, but didn't know about the invisible option.

So the invisible user is just some lurker...who can post? well, it's not a random visitor who is lurking ... it is a registered member who is logged in but just "hides" their online status.
