Mine does that too. Of course when I'm free & can give her my undivided attention she wants no part of it.
She's loudest whenever I'm on the phone for some reason. Whoever I'm talking too always wants to know what's wring with her.

My cat, Kennedy, is a real attention Whore, especially when I'm on the computer writing or on the Internet. He'll jump on top of the computer and sprawl out (tail over screen), jump onto my lap and butt my arm with his head, or start licking my hands as I'm trying to type. He's also the hissy type who bares his teeth at just about anybody who isn't me. He's never gone after anybody really, he just feel threatened by all the tall people and tries to assert his dominance by puffing up. Then just when I've had it with him he curls up and looks all cute: They say dogs are like toddlers, cats are like teenagers. And brother, I believe it!!

Oh look at that adorable pug!!
My cat is pretty good...although she annoys me when the only time she wants to be a lap cat is when I am on the phone. When she is really needy, she will start howling in another room. I have to scream her name until she comes running. Her howling is as if to say "where are you, mom?" My reaction...I'm right here, dammit!

I love that my cat is more like a dog in an attention seeking way. What I don't like is her whining and crying when she thinks we should get up in the mornings. Then she ignores us when we get out of bed. It's not about food either, because she is fed by an automatic feeder. She just wants us to get up. We try to keep her up all day (or more of the day) but she sleeps under the couch or under the bed so we can't get at her.
She is definately the queen of our house!

Ah yes. Liko must have my attention. Here he is sitting between me and my monitor. So I posted that pic in my journal and he had to check it out.... And then.... And when I swatted him away he found a passive way to get my attention....

Mine is attached to my mother even though I was the one who picked him up and brought him in the house when he was a tiny little thing. So tiny in fact he used to like to hide under the stove!
When my mother sits down in the chair for lunch, he waits until she gets the plate off her lap and then he jumps up and parks himself there.
As for me, he couldn't be bothered unless my mother's in bed and he wants me to rub his head.
