It's a guaranteed fake. The seller sells this stuff, starts new accounts, keeps selling them. The ebay image is a rescaled version of the JT's Vault image.
The high-bidder should redact their paypal payment immediately IMHO.

Good read on those. You see, it's savvy collectors like that (and here as well) who are great fans. It doesn't appear that anyone here was the winner, so maybe that's a good sign?

yes, here's two initiatives the joy division fans have undertaken that are cool: www.new-order.net/jd/facs/sordidsentimental.htmlwww.joydiv.org/S5.htmthe first is tracking of as many copies of the limited numbered SORDIDE SENTIMENTALE packet as they can find and the second is how to spot fakes! fans of joy division, who i love and also collect a bit, seem to be more into trainspotting collectibles and records than dd fans. like us here, but there just seems to be more of them.

Very interesting thread. I would pay a LOT of money for an original of that DD poster. Heck, I'd even pay a decent price for a reproduction, as long as I knew that's what I was buying.
Thanks for keeping us posted on this.

yes, an original would be killer. but the chances of it are pretty slim as there was only about 20 made.
and i would pay good money for a repro as well if it was from a good source and not a 72dpi image horked from dd.com that i could spit out on my home printer
