This is just a thought: they have their best album in years and they are touring America with a little airplay...now could it be this time they make it on the Grammy nominations with a real conteporary feel and a hip producer in the bag? After all Madonna got her first Grammy for music 17 years into her career, I don't see why DD shouldn't now. And plus they played the Grammy museum earlier this year, it could be a clue

I agree. First time since 1993 that a Grammy seems like a feasible possibility. But I wouldn't be totally optimistic. Maybe a nomination is something we can hope for, that wouldn't be half bad.

The Grammy Awards are a joke. If a genuinely worthy album ever even makes the final list, it rarely actually wins.
2010 Arcade Fire - The Suburbs Eminem - Recovery Lady Antebellum - Need You Now Lady Gaga - The Fame Monster Katy Perry - Teenage Dream
Arcade Fire won, which was a nice surprise, though it's not their best album by a long shot. But look at the other absolute shit on that list.
2009 was also terrible: Beyonce, the Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, the Dave Matthews Band and Taylor Swift. Swift won, but they're all just awful.
Duran Duran won't get nominated, but that's not at all to do with the quality of their album.

I can see them being nominated but not in one of the major catergories like Album or Record of the Year. Maybe in something like Best Alternative Music Album.

Mark Ronson might get a nod.

I am about to win "anti-fan" of the year (that's sarcasm there) because I don't see the band getting nominated. Ever. That would be blasphemous for those who have looked down their noses at the band since their inception - and let's face it, only the truly "commercial" show for this sort of thing. That ship sailed a LOOONNNGGG time ago, and it has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of their album, the producer, or their fabulous fans.

The Grammys are based mostly on sales. DD don't have a chance.
Works for me, I haven't liked the Grammys since the 1960s.

don't see a Grammy nomination for the album!!! a nomination for the girl panic video would be nice though. also a performance at the Grammy's would be great publicity.

Grammys are a joke. Grammy = best selling album, that's all.
At least at the Oscars, a weird or obscure film can win. Not Grammys, all about Billboard charts.
