I am having a problem with my iPod. I thought maybe I'd ask here. The last few days I'm having a hard time importing music. Itunes would copy the first few songs to my files. Then at the second to last song it stops. I tried copying them again. No luck. Other times it appears to be copying but takes a long time. Then when I add it to my iPod, the last two songs aren't there completely. I'm thinking maybe the cd burner is broken? It's three years old. This drove me nuts all night.

Let me see if I am following you. You are trying to import some tunes from a CD to Itunes, then add them to your ipod? right?
If so, I suggest troubleshooting by picking another CD and add songs to Itunes. If that works, then it could be your CD (not Itunes or your CD burner ) that is acting wonky.
Try that for starters....good luck.

Hi,
I had some problems with my also, so I went to the Apple iTunes website. They have a really good troubleshooting list there. I'm sure someone else has had this problem. You might want to check there for any information. Good Luck!

www.ilounge.com is also a great place to get ipod information. I have solved numerous problems there.

Thanks everyone. I tried a couple cds. They were all doing this. I posted a question on Apple's discussion board. Hopefully they'll get back to me. It's very strange. It's started within a couple of weeks. Sometimes I'll play a cd and it'll skip. New cds.

I haven't even imported any music onto my IPOD by myself. My neice had to help me. I might try to get some more stuff on there this weekend. (Crosses fingers for all of us with IPOD issues.)

I had the exact same problem when I first got my ipod and the problem was the CD-ROM (at the time), but yeah check the disc itself first. After I changed the CD ROM all worked perfectly.

Try importing using another music player like WIndows Media Player and see if that works. If that doesn't work either, it may be your CD ROM... you may need to tighten the cables or replace it if it's 3 years old. Good luck!

with your ipod, not connected to your computer. Try to upload your CDs to the website, once completed then connect your ipod. Hopefully, it should recognize them. Good luck

I tried Windows Media Player last night. It froze. I am going to try another cd tonight. If it still does that I am going to the store tomorrow. I found a external cd/dvd burner on sale for about $100. I am leaning towards the cd burner being broken. I constantly use it. I make cds for myself and people all the time. I must have made over 1,000 burned cds since I've had it.
