The rivalry between the original Nineties supermodels is as fierce as ever, Eva Herzigova has revealed.
The former face - and body - of Wonderbra was reunited with Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Helena Christensen and Yasmin Le Bon for a shoot for Duran Duran's new music video, Girl Panic!
Herzigova, 38, told how back in the Nineties she was made to feel an outsider by the other models as she was the last one to make her breakthrough. And even after all these years, she said, the "dynamic" has not changed.
She said: "I was the last member to join the video and I was also the last to join the supermodel clan.
"I moved in when everybody was already there. They didn't want to accept me immediately and there was a bit of a challenge."
Recalling the reunion, the Czech model said: "I'm not saying I wanted to cry when we were making this video, but it was a feel-good moment.
"When you don't have that union for 10 years, you forget how much it's been a part of you and how much you miss it."
But she says the age of the supermodel is now gone and is unlikely to return any time soon. She said: "There will never be another group of supers like us. There might be famous models but they won't be referred to as supers.
"The term 'supermodel' is a phenomenon of the Nineties and it belongs to that era."
Herzigova also claimed the 1994 "Hello Boys" Wonderbra campaign struck a blow for feminism.
Speaking in this week's ES Magazine, out tomorrow, the mother-of-two says the traffic-stopping posters displaying her curves were a signal to women that they were "empowered". She said: "It was sharp, witty and it gave women strength.
"Up until then lingerie adverts had been exploiting women as objects, but I think the Wonderbra gave off a different signal. It was telling women that they were empowered."
