British model Amber Le Bon is in Istanbul for the Mango fashion show. We made an interview with her before the show...
British model Amber Le Bon is the eldest daughter of Duran Duran lead singer Simon Le Bon and model Yasmin Le Bon. She was in Swissotel The Bosphorus before the Mango 2012 Spring/Summer Collection Fashion Show which is also taking place at the hotel tonight, at 28th of February 2012. She has recently modelled for to date including Moschino, River Island, Pantene and Myla. We had a chance to have an interview with her at the hotel, before the show.
How would you describe your own fashion style?
It really changes a lot. Someday, I be really elegant with long dresses and lots of jewelry. And then other day, i prefer leather jackets for example. But at the moment, i like punk rocker things. So it changes day to day.
Who are your favourite fashion designers?
At the moment, I love Peter Pilotto. I was just looking at the show that he did already and I really wanted to buy every piece of his collection.
As we know, you worked with several brands such as Moschino, River Island and Pantene. How is it like to work with Mango? How would you describe Mango style?
I love the brand and also wear it out of work. And also there are really really nice people working for Mango. They’re always nice to me. I am very happy to work with them.
What are the advantages of being a daughter of a famous couple, especially for your career?
I grew up around fashion and i always knew what to expect. When i ran into it. There were always famous fashion designers around me. It was quite natural being around this environment. My mother didn’t have a nanny for years so she used to take me and my sisters everywhere, photo shooting, etc... So, I guess this is a big advantage. I never felt out of place.
Do you believe in Astrology? You’re Virgo, right?
Yes, I believe in astrology and I have that perfectionist thing which Virgo has. I like things to be in order.
What is your plan for yourself this summer?
My aim is to get focus on guitar. I started playing guitar for a year and i want to practice it.
Where is your favourite holiday destination?
Ibiza is my favourite place in the world. People think that Ibiza is really good just for fun, but it’s also really nice for relaxing.
