I live in NW Ohio, it's going to be in 70s for the forseeable future. Normal temps for this time of year is the mid-40s. This is crazy!!! I had to go into my closet and get my summer T shirts out. This after a winter that was unusally warm - we never got a really hard frost, the lakes/rivers never froze over, and nobody in our school district even had so much as a weather delay until March 2 (!). This is nuts. Just sayin'.

I know it's freaky. The last winter I remember this warm was 10 years ago but even that wasn't as hot as this one. We only got snow something like 3 times this year, once really bad when I was supposed to go to CCD certification training (they cancelled)and the other times pretty mild. I even tore the plastic off my bedroom window which I never do before April and last year in May.

Any trouble with the storms last night, Sarah? The last time I remember it being this warm in April was in 1988. We had an awful drought that summer.

We had tornados to the west of us last night. Dexter, MI got slammed, over 100 houses damaged and 13 or 14 completely destroyed.Scary.
Now the grass is turning green and the forsythia bushes are starting to bloom. If we go back to normal temperatures (mid-40s) or even have a snowstorm or blizzard, it's going to get messy. It's still winter until the 20th and we've had April blizzards before.

Yeah, we had some pretty good rainstorms move through Thursday night. Not as bad as they got up in Michigan. Today I'm looking out the window on a nice summer day, it's 55 degrees out (high of 73, might break a record), the grass is greening up, and the forsythia is blooming! And it's only March!!! Egad.
