I'll definitely be looking to snag the Amanda Palmer Polly/Idioteque 7" and possibly the Simple Minds Theme for Great Cities (Unreleased Mixes) 12" - one of their best songs off the first several albums but I'm fearing that the "unreleased mixes" might be just the usual modern generic crap beats, with only parts of the original song stuck on top. Hope I'm wrong, as I would love to hear an '80s style "breakdown" remix of this fantastic track!

I see that "Spot the Pigeon" by Genesis is having a release on blue vinyl. Never mind the fact that this is how it was released in Canada back in the late '70s. Hmm. Yeah, saw the Simple Minds 12" and was curious to know what the mixes are. Saw a few other items, but not much else.

Perhaps I was naive to have expected 'Duran Duran: All You Need Is Now - The Night Versions' to have appeared on that list. Is it too late for DD to release something for RSD or could they announce something soon?
Regarding Simple Minds, I'll let you in on a little secret. The B-side to the 'Theme For Great Cities' 12" release is in fact a brand new version of 'I Travel', remixed by John Leckie who produced the original song. I'm not sure if any parts have been re-recorded by the current line up (as with the new version of 'In Every Heaven' which has yet to surface) but it's touted as 'I Travel 2012'.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will release “Songs From The Great White North…”, an exclusive 12” vinyl for Record Store Day, on 21st April. The 12” will be pressed on opaque white heavyweight vinyl, individually numbered and limited to 2000 copies for the UK.
