There was an ad on the "gigs" page in yesterday's Daily Mail for the Hyde Park gig saying tickets still available and naming the four bands performing.
I just hope all the DD gang gets right to the front to give the band a big welcome. The way this summer is going, hope it still goes ahead. Big festival at Harewood House, Leeds has been cancelled this weekend, Madness were due to play Haydock and Carlisle racecourses after racing - cancelled. And a terrible fuss at the British Grand Prix. Unless you are a hospitality guest, no public parking on site, so Joe Public, who has paid a vast price for the tickets, will not be admitted.

to be honest I'm not suprised- the weather has been awful for weeks and no sign of it getting better- it's hardly an incentive to plan any outdoor activities.
The problem for Silverstone is that alot of the parking is in fields- unless they tarmac over hundreds of acres of grass I don't see how they can manage that with the amaount of rain we've had. Those using park and ride will be ok- SIlverstone is giving refunds for all those who don't get in
I'm down at HP for Madonna in just over a week and am fearing a mud bath- if it's as wet as it was yesterday I won't be going to HP for Duran- or if I do I'll get there 10 minutes before they come on stage

i am (sadly) going to the Stock aitken waterman gig at HP and they are virtually giving tickets away for it. Britain in recession (or no love to relive 1989). Or people still hate them

HP is still 3 weeks away. Could be glorious sunshine by then. Lets be optimistic.
