TTS was played at the stadium gig at St Andrews in 2005 and went down a storm with the whole crowd. Great song for the upcoming warm weather concerts (damp London exlcuded...!)

It's very annoying that 'Last Chance On The Stairway' is never played live. Along with 'Lonely In Your Nightmare' it is one of the standout tracks on 'Rio' in my opinion and I also think it's easily within their top five songs of all time. Rio has only got nine songs and it only spawned one B-side. Out of those nine, there was four hit singles ('My Own Way', 'Hungry Like The Wolf', 'Save A Prayer' & 'Rio), a fifth single that wasn't exactly a 'hit' but remains one of their most critically acclaimed songs and seems to be generally quite well known with the general public ('The Chauffeur'). It has also been done to death live. Then you have 'Lonely In Your Nightmare' (played a couple of times but the less said about the previous performance the better), 'Last Chance On The Stairway', 'Hold Back The Rain' (played live numerous times) and 'New Religion' (also played numerous times, although seems to have been rested of late). They played LCOTS shortly before the release of the second album, in fact there is an audio recording on Youtube where Simon introduces it as a 'new song'. Apart from that, it's only outing was during the RCM 'Electro Set' in 2007, but sadly they stripped the track of it's fantastic bassline and guitar lead. It deserves to be played properly... From what I remember, Lonely in Your Nightmare has only been played once over the past 10 years (at the fan show in the summer of 2007). Yes... John was having difficulty tuning his fretless bass and near the end of the song he started singing "Dooh-dooh-dooh, dooh-dooh..." too early, possibly because Roger missed a change. Simon's vocals were not exactly up to scratch either. It's hard to judge just from a Youtube video but I wasn't overly impressed with the performance overall. And once in ten years? Ouch! I hope that is rectified post haste. Also, if they do play it again, I hope John plays his fretless. More recently, he seems to have retired it for 'Tiger Tiger'.

I have no problem with the boys playing Taste the summer, it is a good song. I just wish that DD had come to Vancouver this time around. Really another date in Ontario and no date in Vancouver??? Come on, DD played Toronto in the fall.

All these people saying drop Before the Rain are mad.
One of the best live songs ever by DD. This is also Simon's vocal warm up song.
Can't see them dropping this one thankfully.
Really they shouldn't be dropping Leopard from the set either, Drop Come Undone and AVTAK although can see the commerical reason behind not dropping the latter, being a huge hit, but is my least favorite.

Agreed on Before The Rain, I'm amazed at how good it sounds on the new live album! Incredible vocals and the vibe reminds me of very early Duran songs like Khanada and the vocal demo of Tel Aviv.
I can't imagine them dropping AVTAK, although I find Dom's interpretation of the chorus guitar riff somewhat lacking compared to the original.
I think their current setlist is actually very well chosen, but it would be even better if they could extend their set by adding 1 or 2 unpredictable songs per show. Bringing in songs like Taste The Summer, Starman and Mediterranea is a great start!

"So few bullets, so many Justin Beiber Fans" -Ford Fairlane-
Who gives a flying f**k what all of you think? Duran Duran, legendary and superior, earned the honor of choosing to play whatever they may and want on which ever tour. They earned that right being and experiencing who they are. Every single day on the road they get to learn what works in the moment and what doesn't. All of which to give their audience a superb moment of extacy. I were at the Prague show. Didn't hear a fragment of my personal favourites, but loved every split second of it. It were a prfect show put together from A to Z. So, thank you, Duran Duran. You were never (!) better. Please go on... And on!
