Intravenus, thank you for the great news. Anyway, your Wikipedia article seems to suggest that Timbaland was somewhat responsible in Andy's leaving, which, according to the same AT's bio, was not. In the real world, Andy lost a plane, raged with the management, disappeared from sight and lost his place in the band. He was later diagnosed with clinical depression connected with his father's death. Thanks for pointing that out! I had kept some of the original info but have now given the page an extensive rewrite including quotes from Andy's book and the band's 2007 XM Radio session en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reportage_(album)

Here's what I see happening - at some point Sony will release the album to fulfill whatever contract Duran Duran signed with them, kinda like what WB did with Prince in releasing the Black Album. Then again, I'm not sure what sort of album deal Duran Duran signed with Sony back then, so that's just speculation on my part. And not to hijack this thread and veer off into another direction, but I'm sure we're all still waiting on remastered releases of Liberty, The Wedding Album and Thank You.

Would like to listen / buy it.. Just for the intrige and secrecy behind it all. Everybody wants something they can't have and more you talk about it the more you want it.
But ultimately I think we would be dissappointed after AYNIN bar one or two songs.
Probably Andy T still circulating the rumors and keeping it alive, maybe for another pay day return in the future.

I cant see what the band have to gain from releasing it, they have to reach agreement with Andy first and it doesnt seem anyone was happy with it - they are not the type of band to go back (thats why I have never believed the Liberty reinterpretation). I have no doubt one day it will leak but never official.
