Thought I'd post an update as I know there's a handful of Minds fans on here, myself included.
The new album isn't expected until next year now but it is influenced by their first five albums, which isn't surprising as the band have been embarking on their critically-acclaimed '5X5' tour this year (which I didn't go and see, a decision I'm now regretting!) where they have been playing five songs each from the first five albums.
The tracks produced by Steve Hillage (who last worked with them on Sons & Fascination / Sister Feelings Call) are described as 'very raw sounding' whilst the other batch of songs produced by Steve Osborne and Andy Wright sound 'very polished'.
Some of the songs could easily fit onto 'Reel to Real Cacophony' or 'Empires & Dance' whilst a couple are more in the vein of 'New Gold Dream'.
This is a rough track listing, bear in mind that titles are subject to change etc...
Broken Glass Park (Andy Wright)
On The Rooftop (Andy Wright)
In Every Heaven (Originally recorded for 'New Gold Dream' in 1982) (Andy Wright)
Concrete And Cherry Blossom (Andy Wright)
Liaisons (Andy Wright)
Ulysses (Andy Wright)
Firefighter (Andy Wright)
Tsunami (Steve Hillage)
Human Trafficking (Steve Hillage)
Planet Zero (Steve Hillage, but later re-recorded with Steve Osborne)
Utopia (Steve Osborne)
Blood Diamonds (Steve Osborne)
Honest Town (Steve Osborne)
So far the only tracks out of these that have gone public are live recordings of 'Broken Glass Park' and 'Firefighter':
Broken Glass Park (not the Jim Kerr solo version I posted earlier in the year, this is the real deal)
Firefighter
