I am going with my 12 year old son on the 29th at the Staples center. I sprang for good seats. This is his first concert. He is so excited. Congrats to both of you! You'll find that the concert has the definite stamp of "Disney" on it. NO, no mouse ears make an appearance or anything, but it's...it's...it's hard to explain. A "narrator" between songs, on-stage interviews with the cast members who get a chance to plug their other Disney projects, and lots and lots of looooooooove.

Corbin Bleu is my son's absolutely favorite actor right now, and my son has been asking to take dance classes. I've been skittish only because I *know* that he will be the only boy in the class at his age, and I don't want to shell out money if he's gonna drop them from peer pressure.
However, I went to Corbin's website for inspiration, and I found this:
It was at that time he also discovered his love for dance when he began taking jazz and ballet classes, usually the only boy in the class.
I talked to my son tonight about being the only boy in class, and I showed him Corbin's website. He said, "I really like dancing. When are you gonna let me take classes?"
Woohooo! I'm gonna search for a studio around here tomorrow!

That is TOO COOL!! We (my daughter and I) wanted to see the High School Musical show, but they're not coming to Denver! Last Wednesday night though, I took her to see The Cheetah Girls, and we had a GREAT time! It was a really good show, and she really enjoyed herself. This was her second "real" concert (not like the Wiggles, Barney, etc.). He first one was Aly & AJ back in July. That one was a blast too! Afterwards, we went out to the back of the venue and waited for them to come out so she could meet them. There were a lot of parents and their kids back there, and I couldn't help but wonder if they were all crazy Duranies too, seeing as it's such habit for so many of us to either find the band after the shows, or run into them.
Anyway Carina...sounds like a great time! ;D
